Brand List: Natural and Vegan Lipsticks

Photo of Natural and Vegan Lipsticks.

These green beauty brands prove that you don't need carmine, beeswax, and lanolin to make a lipstick.

Note: I attempted to indicate the vegan lipstick options for brands that aren't 100% vegan, but be sure to double check the ingredients!

I HAVE TRIED:
Some of these reviews are old or not the most detailed, so if you are wondering about any of these, let me know!

TOP 5 I WANT TO TRY:
These brands have relatively extensive color selections and/or came highly recommended.

EVERYTHING ELSE:

VEGAN SHOPS

I love browsing vegan shops (like Petit Vour, Vegan Cuts, Kind Beauty Collective) because that way I know the product is definitely vegan and I can just check the natural-ness myself. It's a lot easier than looking at natural shops and hunting down the limited vegan options!

LIST UPDATES

I will keep this list updated with new brands I find, as well as links to any new reviews I do.
Feel free to comment or message me if you know of brands to add!

  1. I love how you structured this post - I like being able to click for full review or keep scrolling if I've already tried it.

  2. Great post! I've been searching for a more natural/cruelty-free dupe of MAC's lipsticks in Gunner or Matte Royal for my sister but haven't found any that fit my criteria. Axiology's Desire looks promising though. It's much lighter but it's the closest thing I've seen on the green beauty market so far.

    1. I understand your struggle! There's some MAC colors (Violetta, Up the Amp) that I loved and have been looking for green dupes for too. Axiology's Desire is high on my wishlist, so I'll definitely let you know how it is if I get it!

  3. Great post Amy! I can't wait to see what you think of the RAL lipsticks! I of course know that you are going to love them. I had no idea Ilia lip crayons were vegan!! Thank you for opening my eyes, haha. I honestly never thought to check or look on their site since I knew their lip products weren't vegan.

    Hi Amy,

Excellent posts, very useful, many thanks!

I don't have the time to search out, investigate and try out products that I need, so this is wonderful for me, especially since you also mention where to buy from. I just placed an order with vitacost last night, never tried them before. Would also love a roundup of basics like kohl pencil, eyeshadow, bar soap, liquid soap etc. Even if you just put up a list of products that ingredients wise make the cut (like the lipsticks above) while waiting for a full review.

  5. Hi girl! :) So glad I found your blog, it was exactly what I was looking for (vegan, natural, cruelty free)
I would also add Zao Makeup to your list, they are not 100% vegan but working on it (at least according to their email reply) and their lipsticks are vegan
also there is Eugénie Prahy (way too expensive though!)
their lipstick are not vegan but quite a few of their products are : Lavera
    Hope that helped!
