July's Petit Vour box is here!

Petit Vour is a $15/month subscription service that sends out natural, cruelty-free, vegan products. I did an overview of the subscription, here.
This box was co-curated by Thoughtfully Magazine and I have reviewed this magazine before, here.

Aila Nail Lacquer in Doolish ($17)

This is a pretty peachy-coral color and the formula is 5-free. I don't wear nail polish though, so I've been tempted to subscribe to Vegan Cuts because they send out more makeup items and less nail polish.

Nubian Heritage Mango Butter ($13)

I thought this was a sample at first, but this 4 oz tub is a full sized product. This body butter smells delicious, like mangoes and cream, and leaves my skin very soft. It's not gonna be a product that I use all the time, because you need to warm it with your fingers before applying and that takes more time/effort than I'd like to put in. I'm happy that Petit Vour included a more affordable product though!

Luxe de Mer Gentle Cleanser ($9.75)

Subscribers got either a cleanser or a toner. I'm not thrilled to get a cleanser, especially since I got a cleanser last month too, but I do prefer this one over the Meow Meow Tweet one. To use this, you pour some on a cotton pad, wipe your face, and wash with water. I have been liking this for days I'm not wearing makeup and it doesn't irritate my eyes so I think I could potentially use this to remove eye makeup. The rose scent is nice too.

Routine De-odor Cream in Sexy Sadie ($4)

This Routine deodorant is easier to use than Schmidt's (my current fave) because it has a creamy consistency that's not hard like Schmidt's. From the few times that I've used it, it seems to hold up comparably, which means it lasts all day with some fading but not enough to bother me to reapply. Schmidt's still has the upperhand though, because the lime-bergamot scent is the best smelling deodorant I've ever smelled and I don't like the spicy scent of "sexy sadie." I'll use this up though and I might consider trying other scents.

Overall: I'll be using everything in the box aside from the nail polish. I wish that PV would send out less nail polish but I'm still content with this month's box.

  1. It looks like we got the same box this month! It's funny though because in review I was saying how I love getting the nail polishes. Whatever moves your furniture, I guess :)

    1. Haha a lot of people seem to love the nail polishes so I think I'm the odd one out. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, Amber! :)

  2. Amy, do you think that they also ship internationally? Why won't you use the nail polish? I only use a handful of nail polishes because I don't want them to contain very harmful chemicals (nail polish in dangerous anyway, but some are more dangerous than others).

    1. I think they only ship to US & Canada! Originally, I stopped using nail polish because I couldn't make time for it once I became a college student, but now I like the look of bare nails. You're right, nail polish is dangerous anyway so I would rather have no nail polish on than a healthy nail polish!

  3. I got the same and have the same thoughts...wish I had gotten the toner. I did try the polish. I have had a hard time getting into green polish- the application on this one is tricky! Great review:)
